How to play Pyramid

A 7×6 billiard table with six pockets (four corners and the middle of the long sides). A white cue ball rolls diagonally and bounces off the rails and the black bumpers; every bounce lifts the pot by one (×1 … ×6). Violet kickers turn the ball 90°. Every ball it touches pays its printed value × the pot and drops into the nearest pocket; the ball it knocks next to it (kiss shot) pays too.

One pocket is GOLDEN (×2, ×3 or ×5): if the white ball itself drops into it, the whole shot pays that multiplier. The golden Kingball is always on the cue's path, so it is always struck: the suspense is at which pot.

3, 4 or 5 Chalk cubes start the Break: 8 shots. Before every shot you pick your English: Centre (a plain shot), Top spin (safe: longer paths, more touches), Left / Right (the side you hit from), Draw (the pot climbs faster) or Massé (risky: few balls, big numbers). The picker shows each option's measured chance to pay and mean pot. All six options have the same expected return; they differ only in how the wins come. No pick in 9 seconds = Centre. The pot is banked between shots; a gold cue splits at its first ball. Buy the Break for 100× the bet.
